Xiaomi has launched the Mijia refrigerator 536 L in China. The product has 347 L fridge capacity, and 189 L freezer capacity, which the company claims equates to enough room to store 309 tubs of ice cream and 487 apples. There are 20 compartments in total, including shelving on the doors.

The refrigerator cools from the top with a system that Xiaomi describes as “waterfall sinking air”; this ensures fast, uniform cooling for minimal frost. The company suggests the fridge is energy efficient thanks to its variable frequency compressor, running at 0.96 kWh daily. A ceiling-mounted LED bulb provides soft lighting, suitable for day and night.

The fridge is quiet, running at 36 dB, with a built-in LED touchscreen. This control panel allows you to choose from one of four settings: smart, quick cooling, quick freeze and holiday modes. Alternatively, you can control the device through the Mijia app or with Xiao AI voice commands.

Despite the capacity, the fridge is 670 mm (~26.4-in) deep, which Xiaomi says makes it ideal for many kitchens. Overall, the refrigerator measures 910 x 670 x 1770 mm (~35.8 x 26.4 x 69.7-in). You can now pre-order the Mijia refrigerator 536 L in China for 2,199 yuan (~US$327) with a 100 yuan (~US$15) deposit. After this pre-sale period, the product will retail for 2,499 yuan (~US$372).
