One of Starbucks’ products sold in seven states has been recalled due to potential metal contamination.
PepsiCo Inc., who produces many pre-packaged Starbucks drinks, recalled its Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot Energy Coffee Beverage due to the presence of possible metal fragments.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said the recall affects 221 cases of the beverage with each case containing 12 bottles of 15-ounce drinks.
The products were sold in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
The FDA first listed the recall on its website on Sept. 8, although the recall was first initiated Aug. 15, according to Today.
