Developers tweak two-tower plan to preserve more of Legend’s view – Richmond BizSense
But following discussions with the neighborhood, most notably Legend Brewing Co., whose patio view would’ve been significantly obscured by the buildings, Avery Hall is now planning to shift the western building 81 feet to the east and 20 feet closer to the river, a move they say will preserve significantly more of the view of downtown from Legend’s deck. The land to the west that the building would have occupied will instead be a courtyard.

New brewery in the works on Patterson in western Henrico – Richmond BizSense
WayGone Brewery is looking to open in spring 2023 in the Canterbury Shopping Center at 10610 Patterson Ave. Renovations on its storefront began recently.
WayGone started in 2016 as a homebrewing operation by Tim Powell and Richard Myers. Myers declined to comment in detail for this story but said they’re looking forward to sharing more details in the future.
Last year, WayGone successfully had the Canterbury Shopping Center rezoned to allow for a brewery. The shopping center is owned by The Wilton Cos., and Wilton Vice President Hunt Gunter said WayGone leased the final available space in the shopping center.

Vendor applauds staff for serving free beer at Big Ten game in Dublin – Washington Post
The stadium’s vendor, Levy UK + Ireland, blamed the situation on a technical issue with its payment provider that prevented card transactions from being processed for two hours.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this caused customers,” a Levy spokesman said in a statement, “and would like to thank our employees at Aviva Stadium for the spirit they showed in keeping everything going.”

Paws on the Patio at Stone Brewing August 27th
I’m a fan of dogs, the SPCA, and beer. This event should have all three. While traveling around the state this past week we went to many breweries and met many fine dogs. Stella the Great Dane was great and just beat out Honey the kind of round Golden Retriever for Best Brewery Dog Seen While on Vacation Award.
It is Stone Brewing’s 26th anniversary, and to celebrate we wanted to work with the community, so we are hosting another Paws on the Patio!
A percentage of draft pours for the day will be donated to the Richmond SPCA. A representative from the Richmond SPCA will be on-site for you to learn more about their lifesaving work!
All pets are welcome on our patio as long as they are leashed and under owner’s control. Bring your furry friends to grab a refreshing beverage and food from our Live Buena food trailer!
