Appreciate FG’s efforts to tackle insecurity, Buni tells Nigerians

Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni has commended president Muhammadu Buhari’s effort in the fight against insecurity in the state and the country at large.

Buni stated this Thursday while launching Senator Ibrahim Geidam’s Yobe East Constituency Empowerment materials at the 27 August stadium Damaturu.

Buni stated that President Buhari has also made concerted efforts towards restoration of normalcy, rebuilding destroyed public structures, resettlement of victims of insurgency and restoration of livelihood in affected communities in the state.

He appreciated Senator Geidam for the empowerment and charged the beneficiaries to use the them in order to become self reliant so as to be able to assist their families, friends and neighbours.

In his welcome address, Senator Geidam said the empowerment was part of drive to compliment the efforts of state government.

Represented by member representing; Bursari, Geidam, and Yunusari Federal Constituency, Hon Lawan Shettima Ali, Geidam said women and youth must be empowered for a nation to develop economically.

He revealed that in continuation with their empowerment drive,”We have lined up today for distributions 213 Sewing 136TL II 3D EMBR machines,50 Thermocool deep freezer,134 snow seat deep freezer and 50, 2000 watts stabilizers.

“Also are 49 granding machines, 30 wall dryer,186 KLM hair dryers ,30 hand dryers,138 Pro hair straighteners,30 saloon chairs,30, 2 in 1 straighteners,30 bar tools and 217 Electric drills. “Others includes 8 drawer and cabinet sets, 5 Computers, 5 printers, 27,264 exercise books, 4 MF tractors,15 irrigation water pumps, 67 wheel barrows and bundles of assorted bags respectively.”

Meanwhile, the governor also launched Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Group (TBICG) office complex in Damaturu.
