Olympic Appliance stocks a wide range of affordable appliances. The sign outside announcing scratch and dent appliances is drawing customers to the store at 603 Route 9 South in West Tuckerton.
The advertised “all brands at deep discounts” applies to an impressive stock for sale in the 2,500 square feet of inventory.
“Everything is brand-new; there is nothing used in the store. It’s all brand-name appliances,” sales associates said, listing among them Frigidaire, Kitchen Aid, LG, Maytag, Samsung and Whirlpool, to name some brands.
Sales associates Dorothy and Sharon will greet customers and answer any questions they have. Frank Papa is the company owner, assisted by an able team.
“Looking for new appliances? You’ll find what you need at our showroom,” invites Olympic Appliance. “ You’ll find any kitchen appliance or home appliance you need at a deeply discounted price. We can even help you find matching sets.”
Ranges, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, microwaves, wall ovens, washing machines and dryers are available.
The industry term “scratch and dent” means just what it says, and it can be music to the ears of shoppers thrilled to find a bargain on quality goods. Appliances with “slight cosmetic blemishes that are still brand-new” are on the sales floor for customers.
Discounted items may have been damaged in transit, or may be floor models or models that are being liquidated to bring in new models.
Some, you can hardly even notice the imperfection,” a store employee pointed out. “Some of them you can tell they were never even taken off the pallets.”
Adds the company, “Looking for brand new appliances in perfect condition? We can help you get that too.”
When it’s time to update, Olympic Appliance remove a customer’s old machines and installs newer, more efficient ones.
The company offers a one-year in-house warranty on its stock. Delivery is at a fee, but removal of the old appliances is at no additional cost.
“Delivery is usually within two to three days,” said a store associate. Areas served include all of Ocean County, as well as parts of Monmouth and Atlantic counties and occasionally other areas.
“The pros at Olympic Appliance have the proper vehicles and tools to deliver your items safely and efficiently,” the company pledges on its website. “With a professional hooking up your appliances, you’ll know for sure they’ll work as expected.”
